Thank you all very much for volunteering this past weekend at the Gil Young/NW Zone Meet.  The meet ran smooth, the weather was great (three days of sun in a row!) and I got more compliments than ever on our pool, aquatic center staff and most of all, our helpful and happy volunteers.  Thanks again for helping us put on another fast Reign hosted meet.

Calling All REIGN
Jun 21, 2011, 9:12 pm

Hello REIGN, t's time for our annual Gil Young Memorial Swim Meet which is also a Northwest Zone Meet. The meet is Friday-Sunday, July 8th-10th (meet information below). I am looking for volunteers to fill the below positions and asking for donations to our hospitality room. If you plan on swimming in the meet, please volunteer whatever time you can.  Talk up the meet to family and friends; you can‘t get any closer to the action then a timers chair!   If this is your first meet, or your first meet in a while, no better way to learn the masters meet ropes then to volunteer.  Take a look below, and if something strikes your fancy, email me back what you would like to do and when you are available and I will add you to my volunteer list!  As it was last year, this meet is one of only two LCM masters meets held in Oregon this summer; let’s make it a great one. Thanks to you all in advance.  Swim fun, swim fast!

Co-Meet Director

Timers (14 per day)
Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the meet begins on the day(s) you are to time for a timers meeting (time TBA). **Timers must be at least 12 years of age**
Marshals (2 per day)
Marshals watch the warm-up/warm-down area to be sure people are not diving when they are not supposed to, help clear lanes for starts and after warm-ups and breaks so competition can begin.  Plan to arrive arrive at least 10 minutes before warm-up begins on the day(s) you are to marshal: Friday=2:50PM, Saturday and Sunday=1:50PM
Clean Up Crew (Sunday)
Not sure what you can do to help…let me know what day(s) you are available and I will find something for you to help out with.  The more the merrier!!
Hospitality Donations:
Our hospitality room is one of the best!!  I will be providing drinks (water, soda, coffee, etc) and some other large items.  Bring whatever you like.   Remember, this is mostly for the officials and our own volunteers; snacks, finger foods, tasty summer treats, etc.  If making a hospitality donation, let me know what you are planning to bring on which day so that I can plan ahead for extra goodies if needed.
