Hi Gang, keep up the great swimming we have had some great workouts!!! Schedule is normal at Mt. Hood this weekend there is no meet at college.
Wed the 4th of July we will do a Sat schedule so practice is at Hood 10:30am to Noon:)
There is a meet at Mt. Hood next weekend however so we will be at DD Sat and Sun July 7th and 8th. Fri July 6th will be normal at Hood 11:45am.
For those of you who participated in the Swimathon I and MHA would like to thank you very much we raised about 3000 dollars!! You all get a Tshirt for doing it so I need your shirt sized ASAP!!  Coach Bake :)

ORM schedule changes - Time changes DD - Colette tearing it up !!!

Hi Gang, workouts have been really great as of
late very impressed with efforts and strokes!! There are meets at Hood the next
two weekends so we will be a DD on the next two weekends. Check the schedule above.

Tuesday and Thursday Nights at DD start times will change as
of Tuesday June 19th to 7:15pm to 8:30pm so 15 min earlier!!!! for the summer:) - (update this has changed back to the regular times 7:30 to 8:45 - we are not starting earlier as emailed out)

Swimathon is going good we are getting close to
the goal I kinda had of 5000. Lets make a last push this week to get your
donations in or you can just donate on your own. You can use a workout or open
water swim if you didn't get to do the actual swim. I would like to have all
checks in by next week, minimum of 50 dollars made to MHA!!

Our own Colette Crabbe is at the World Masters
Championships in Italy this week and she is kickin butt!! She has 3 wins so far
and very close to world records!!

Remember please if you are taking a month off to
let me know for our accounting purposes.:) Coach Bake:)

SWIM-A-THON and Weekend Practice Changes

Hi Gang, there was some confusion on my part for this weekend about the swimathon! We will do swimathon this Sat May 26th only at DD first group 8am to 10am next group 10am to Noon.  No Practice at Hood. There is a meet at Mt. Hood all weekend so Sun May 27th will be at DD regular practice split format Last Name A-M 9am to 10:30am and N-Z last name 10:30am to Noon.
I need to get a head count for swimathon and split the times so we have room at both time slots on Sat at DD. Please email me ASAP which time slot you are swimming in. If you partner up with someone (which is what i suggest) one person can count for the other and switch time slots. I can do some counting as well. There will be snacks and drinks available if you want to take breaks in the 2 hours. Remember I would hope for $50 dollar minimum pledge. Some are way over that already!! Checks payable to MHA only please. If you need paperwork let me know. You can make up swimathon anytime pool is short course at Hood which is mostly Wed nights. Or at DD Tues and Thurs nights. Check with me Aubree or Chip to set up time. The deadline to do this and get pledges in is June 15th!! Let's all try and get behind this it is very important for our future!!
Practice on Monday the 28th Holiday will be one only 11:45am to 1pm at Mt. Hood Long Course. Then back to normal schedule, lots of meets in June at Hood so be aware and check website often!!!!

ORM Swim-A-Thon May 26th at DD Pool - Get your pledges

Hey Gang, we will be doing our 1st Annual Swim-A-Thon on May 26th at DD Pool. There will not be a regular practice. We will hold two sessions.

This is important for many reasons but mainly to contribute like the kids do to keeping us going and at Mt. Hood. My goal is for those who participate to raise between 50 to 100 dollars for their swim. Of course it's great if you can raise more!!! It's a two hour swim to see how many lengths you can do. You can get a flat donation or donation per length like 10 cents per length.  

We will do a split format and have a group go from 8am to 10am then a group go from 10am to Noon. We will have water and healthy snacks if you want to take a break during the swim. You will need a counter for your lengths swam. If you can't do it on that date you can make separate arrangements with me to do it some other time no problem. Let's show the kids and your pledgers, what we can do!!! The date to collect all pledges and turn them in will be June 15th!! All checks should be made out to MHA.  Coach Bake
