SCHEDULE UPDATES:    Alert Schedule through Aug 2nd

 

Hi Gang, ok its meet season starting next week. Follow this schedule unless I email you during this time. I have added some morning practices at Hood
and the last swim meet week the mornings move to 5am just for that week so be aware and alert!!

We need volunteers for these meets!! Let me know you can help!!

 

Monday July 27th- Normal Mt. Hood.


Tuesday July 28th5:00am to 6:30am Mt. Hood / 7:30pm to 8:45pm David Douglas only.

Wednesday July 29th5:00am to 6:30am Mt. Hood / 12 noon to 1:15pm Reynolds.

Thursday July 30th5:00am to 6:30am Mt. Hood / 7:30pm to 8:45pm David Douglas only.

Friday July 31st- 12 noon to 1:15pm Reynolds

Sat August 1st - ONE PRACTICE ONLY.  6:30am to 8:00am David Douglas

 

Sun August 2nd Split Format at DD Last name A-M 9am to 10:30am Last name N-Z 10:30am to Noon

REIGN-Call for Volunteers!!

Hello REIGN,

  We are hosting the 2015 Gil Young Memorial/NW Zone/Oregon LMSC LCM Championship Meet at Mt Hood, Friday-Sunday, August 21st-23rd.  It's time to start preparing and lining up volunteers for the meet.  Warm-ups begin at 2PMon Friday with competition beginning at 3PM.  On Saturday, warm-ups begin at 2PM and the meet begins at 3PM, andon Sunday warm-ups begin at 8AM and the meet begins at 9AM (full meet info is also below).  I am looking for volunteers to fill the following positions and asking for donations to our hospitality room.  The hardest seats to fill are the timers chairs and we will need 14 timers each day.  If you plan on swimming in the meet, as we hope most of you do, please volunteer whatever time you can.  Talk up the meet to family and friends; you can‘t get any closer to the action then a timers chair, and if they are going to be there cheering you on, please ask if they wouldn't mind volunteering.  Take a look below, and if something strikes your fancy, email me back what you would like to do and when you are available and I will add you to my volunteer list! I will email you back when I hear from you and send updates and reminders to all volunteers as needed.  I will be out of town July 12th-18th, so if you don't hear back from me right away, I will get back to you as soon as I can.  Thank you all in advance for your help running this meet.

Meet Information:

2015 Gil Young Memorial/NW Zone/Oregon LMSC LCM Championship Meet

Friday, August 21st-Warm Ups:  2:00PM, Meet Starts: 3:00PM
Saturday, August 22nd-Warm Ups:  2:00PM, Meet Starts: 3:00PM

Sunday, August 23rd-Warm Ups:  8:00AM, Meet Starts: 9:00AM

Paper entries must be postmarked by August 8th and online entries are due August 12th so you still have plenty of time to sign up!!

Volunteers:

Head Timer (1 per day)
  Head timer is in charge of starting extra watches at the beginning of each heat so that if a timer misses the start of the race they can get a back-up watch from the head timer.
Runners (2 per day)
  Runners help take timers results to the crows nest for entry into the Dak-Tronics system.
Timers (14 per day)
  Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before the meet begins on the day(s) you are to time for a timers meeting (time TBA). 

**Timers must be at least 12 years of age**
Marshals (2 per day)
  Marshals watch the warm-up/warm-down area to be sure people are not diving when they are not supposed to, help clear lanes for starts and after warm-ups and breaks so competition can begin.  Plan to arrive arrive at least 10 minutes before warm-up begins on the day(s) you are to marshal.

Clean Up Crew (Sunday only)
Misc.
  Not sure what you can do to help…let me know what day(s) you are available and I will find something for you to help out with.  The more the merrier!!
 
Hospitality Donations:
  I will be purchasing drinks (water, soda, coffee, etc) and some other large items.  Bring whatever you like.   Remember, this is mostly for the officials and our own volunteers; snacks, finger foods, tasty summer treats, etc.  If making a hospitality donation, let me know what you are planning to bring on which day so that I can plan ahead for extra goodies if needed.
